⭑ Save the Date! On Saturday, May 4th at 6:00pm, the Santa Barbara County Democratic Party is hosting the 11th Annual Roosevelt-Hamer Dinner. Join us at this fun event held at the Carrillo Recreation Center Ballroom (100 E. Carrillo Street, Santa Barbara, CA). This is a wonderful evening where you can connect with fellow Democrats. Also, as the Party's primary fundraising event you will be able to support their efforts in electing Democrats.
Honorees this year include Assemblymember Michael A. Blake - Vice Chair at Large of the Democratic National Committee, Gloria Soto, Lucille Boss, Gregg Hart, and the Santa Barbara County Immigrant Legal Defense Center.
Make sure to buy your tickets as soon as possible! If you cannot make it consider making a donation instead, which will help the Party continue to provide vital support and resources to local progressive candidates and representatives.
⭑Convention! The California Young Democrats Convention will be held on May 31st through June 2nd in San Francisco. CYD Convention will be held concurrently with the California Democratic Party Convention. Join hundreds of Young Democrats as we all help to shape the future of our party. For more information about the event and registration; click here.

⭑Volunteer! The Democratic Service Club of Santa Barbara County will be registering voters at the Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 27th and Sunday, April 28th in Alameda Park. Please email us if you are interested in volunteering and we will provide your information to the organizers. This is a great opportunity to connect with other community members at an awesome festival centered on the preservation and protection of our planet.
⭑Did you know? The Santa Barbara City Council's documents and videos related to their public meetings are available online. Agendas for all upcoming meetings are available. Plus after meetings, you can view all documents, minutes, and videos of the meetings. All of these resources can be found, here.
If you are able to attend meetings in person, the date, time, and location are also posted online. However, if you cannot attend because of the difficulty of taking off work, then this is a great resource. As a group of local young people, it is vital for us to stay engaged and informed about the decisions of our elected leaders since they will shape the composition and development of our city.
