GOTV Kickoff

Ballots will go out to voters the 1st week of October! On Saturday, October 12th at 10:00 AM, join SBYD for our GOTV Kickoff! Help get out the vote for Kamala Harris and our endorsed local candidates before the November 5th Election.

We'll knock on doors, talk to voters, and then kick back with beer and snacks afterward. Whether you're a canvassing pro or just jumping in, it's all about making a difference and having fun. Grab some friends, wear comfy shoes, and bring your energy!

Every year, SBYD teams up with the Gauchos Vote Coalition to help register THOUSANDS of incoming UCSB students to vote!

We need your help to register as many first-time voters as possible this Saturday, September 23rd & Sunday, September 24th! 

Volunteers can join us for FREE pitchers, pizza, and snacks at Rockfire Grill in Isla Vista before we register voters!  🍺 🍕

Join us on Friday, July 21st at 7:30 PM at the Santa Barbara Courthouse for a movie night with the Santa Barbara Young Democrats!

We will provide a prime spot in the Sunken Gardens, snacks, & drinks! Just bring your own low-back lawn chair, for more comfortable seating.

We will be watching a screening of the cult classic Mars Attacks! - a hilarious sci-fi comedy staring Jack Nicholson as POTUS, along with some “friendly” aliens visiting Earth.

Canvass & Hang with SBYD!

With the ballots out now's the time we need to come together! Join us on Saturday, May 21st at 10:00 AM for canvassing, followed by some food and drinks with your fellow young dems! This is a great opportunity to help tip the balance in favor of progressive candidates running for important offices across our community, with the added bonus of socializing with fellow young progressives. We'll meet at the Democratic Party HQ (123 E. Carrillo) before and after canvassing, and then head to lunch.
