  • Christian Alonso

    PRESIDENT

    Christian came to Santa Barbara from Nevada and never left! He is an elected member of the SB County Democratic Central Committee and dedicated to transforming our local democratic politics. Christian lives downtown with their loving partner and a 100-lb rottweiler named Zuko. As President, Christian heads the Executive Board, leads club meetings, and represents the club at county political events.

  • Geordie Scully

    VICE PRESIDENT

    Geordie is a District Representative and Environmental Advisor to State Senator Monique Limón. She undertook her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara and is a recent Master's graduate in Environmental Sustainability with distinction from the University of Edinburgh. As Vice President, Geordie ensures the success of the club’s general functions and organizing committees.

  • Carlos López

    POLICY & ADVOCACY DIRECTOR

    Carlos has been coordinating voter registration drives and community organizing efforts in Santa Barbara County for almost a decade. He aims to increase young people’s involvement in canvassing efforts to ensure that quality progressive candidates are elected to local office. As Membership & Outreach Director, Carlos organizes club members to take action on local, state, and federal issues.

  • Spencer Brandt

    FIELD DIRECTOR

    Spencer moved to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB and has been involved in founding Isla Vista’s local government ever since. In his day job with County Supervisor Das Williams, he works on behavioral health policy, justice policy, and affordable housing policy. He is a seasoned field organizer with years of experience. As Field Director, he plans our electoral organizing, via canvassing and phonebanking.

  • Meghan Robles

    SOCIAL DIRECTOR

    Meghan is a Santa Barbara native dedicated to strengthening the engagement of young people in her community. She currently works for a local affordable housing provider and is committed to creating a more inclusive Santa Barbara. She brings a local perspective to our leadership team. As Social Director, Meghan organizes the club’s social events, communications, and social media.

  • Leilanie Rubinstein

    TREASURER

    Leilanie is a recent graduate of UCSB, earning Political Science and Environmental Studies degrees. In 2017, she moved to Santa Barbara and fell in love with the community. She currently works as a freelance photographer, capturing the natural beauty of the Central Coast and its residents. As Treasurer, Leilanie coordinates financial activities for the club and organizes fundraising events.

  • Luca D'Agruma

    MEMBERSHIP & OUTREACH DIRECTOR

    Luca is a freshman at Wesleyan University committed to progressive organizing across the electoral, labor, and pro-housing spaces. He is dedicated to local politics, with a focus on building the local party’s infrastructure and investment into Santa Barbara’s young people. As Membership & Outreach Director, Luca manages the recruitment and retainment of members.
